A very cool thing

Awhile back I mentioned that I was working on a promo item. Well…. the big reveal… it is custom, handcrafted soap designed for showers together!

Why soap? Good question. First, I needed something small enough to offer as giveaways on all sorts of guest blogs and promo opportunities. These are small bars, kind of like hotel-soap-sized; they have several uses in them, but they are still small enough (and affordable enough) that I can pass them out at conferences or the like.

I also wanted something unique, not the same thing that the next person over has for her book. This soap was specially designed to match my cover and the scent chosen by me, so even if by some chance, soaps became the popular thing to do, mine would still be special.

And lastly, I wanted something that touched on the sexual nature of the book (it is an erotic romance, after all). This particular scent works well for either a man or a woman, but works best if you use it on each other ;-) Plus, the scent is Chocolate Sandalwood, and I enjoyed the interplay of feminine and masculine in the combination as well.

Here is a picture, taken by Ana, who is making the soaps. As I mentioned, the color of the bar matches the colors in my cover. The official title, in case it’s hard to read is: “A Signature Soap for Showers Together”

Cool, eh?

Oh, and the very cool lady who’s making these is of Ana Banana’s Bath & Body Treats so go forth and check out the cool stuff. I particularly recommend the Naked Man soap. I thought long and hard about using that scent as a base for mine, but decided against it as it really feels very much for men and not both genders… though I did get my husband hooked on it :)

  1. So cool! And also your book has a trĂ©s sexy dual shower scene. You didn’t mention that, so I’ll go ahead and do the spoiler for you.
